Triangle's hosting solution utilises Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud), to provide a flexible and reliable hosting plan for all of our clients. EC2 allows us to instantly scale capacity for your projects in terms of CPU, memory, storage and even load balancing between geographical locations. We have built custom Amazon server instances using Ubuntu LTS that are robust and secure.
Each instance has Amazon Elastic Block Storage attached to them. These volumes are automatically replicated within Amazon, but we also run hourly differential snapshots of these.
Lastly static content such as stylesheets, javascript code and images are stored on Amazon S3. This accomplishes two things; firstly the servers are spared of the constant requests for these files, massively improving performance. Secondly content stored on S3 can be fed into Amazon's CDN (content delivery network) called CloudFront; giving geographical serving of your content to your userbase.
